When I visited Amorgos in March 2009 I found that this young lady had lost her head - a metal rod was protruding from the neck of the statue. UPDATE In October 2010 I saw that the head of this statue has been restored.
Perhaps a seagull was heavy-footed……….

Amorgos Chora. There is a small castle and church on the rock. There is often a strong wind whistling round the rock!
